Job summary

Accounting Resources is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, general ledger, fixed assets, banking, cash management, and internal controls. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Manufacturing or distribution accounting experience preferred.
• Experience implementing accounting automation tools.
• Power BI or other reporting software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Assist the CFO with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for management.
• Lead automation initiatives through AI, OCR, workflow automation, and ERP enhancements.
• Evaluate emerging accounting technologies that improve productivity and accuracy.
• Reduce manual data entry through automation.
• Develop electronic workflows and approvals.
• Improve reporting through Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Oversee AP and AR processes.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and journal entries.
• Prepare reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
