Brightstar Lottery is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our North America Controllership organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, the role blends individual contributor work with process improvements that strengthen, simplify, and scale our accounting operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex transactions into practical accounting solutions while maintaining robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Demonstrated ability to research accounting issues and develop supportable conclusions.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee accounting activities associated with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify trends requiring further evaluation or action.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables.
• Research accounting guidance and document implications of transactions and new initiatives.
• Execute internal control activities and strengthen the control environment as processes evolve.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Lead transition of new activities into the Accounting team and drive implementation.
• Simplify, standardize, and automate accounting processes while maintaining controls.
• Potential for future management of accounting staff.
