Job summary

Walters & Wolf Construction Specialties is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Gilbert, AZ team on-site. The role leads the accounting department, oversees the month-end close, and ensures accurate financial reporting for multiple entities.

Responsibilities cover banking, AR/AP, payroll, HR, and compliance within a growing specialty contracting environment. The ideal candidate brings construction accounting experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Viewpoint Vista or

Qualifications

• Hands-on general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Proven experience supervising a small accounting team.
• Strong ERP skills; Viewpoint Vista or Sage Intacct preferred.
• Proficient in Windows, Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the accounting department and team.
• Own the month-end close and monthly financial statements.
• Review bank reconciliations and fixed assets; support Corporate Finance research.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and reports.
• Oversee payroll processing, HR administration, and benefits coordination.
• Coordinate tax filings and regulatory reporting.
