Job summary

SURGE Staffing in the United States is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for a manufacturing organization. This role requires strong leadership, financial reporting expertise, and oversight of accounting and treasury functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will supervise the accounting team, manage monthly closes, budgeting, audits, and cash management, and ensure robust internal controls with accurate reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• MBA in Finance or Accounting, or CPA, preferred.
• 7–10 years of accounting and treasury supervisory experience preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, cost accounting, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial close and financial statement preparation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Manage annual and semi-annual audits.
• Oversee cash management, treasury activities, and short- and long-term loans.
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior leadership.
• Support inventory accuracy and continuous process improvement.
