Job summary

Talently is seeking an Accounting Manager in West Palm Beach to lead core accounting operations and strengthen financial controls. You will own the month-end close, oversee inventory costing, and support ERP implementations, reporting to senior management.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 6+ years' experience, 1+ year supervising a team, and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge. On-site position with cross-functional collaboration opportunities and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 6+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience with ownership of the monthly close.
• Experience in manufacturing, contract manufacturing, consumer products, or inventory-intensive environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statements, internal controls, and audit support.
• Hands-on inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, BOMs, WIP, and variance analysis.
• Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations, system conversions, or finance process transformations.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS) and large data set analysis.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, setting priorities and coverage for essential processes.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, payroll entries, and financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costs, BOMs, WIP, overhead absorption, and variances.
• Manage billing, accounts receivable, credit/collections, accounts payable, cash applications, and vendor payments.
• Support Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation through data validation and post-launch stabilization.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls; ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and audit support.
• Prepare management reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and special projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales to improve financial processes.
