Job summary

Kelly Community FCU in Tyler, Texas is seeking an Accounting Manager who embodies leadership, accountability, and teamwork. This role focuses on delivering accurate month-end close and regulatory reporting while fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred) with 5–10 years of financial accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5–10 years of financial accounting experience; GAAP knowledge required.
• Knowledge of banking regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of activities of financial institutions and related accounting treatment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports within deadlines.
• Complete month-end close within 10 business days; reconcile and document variances.
• Ensure regulatory and tax reports are submitted timely (NCUA 5300, 1099-MISC/NEC).
• Coordinate internal and external audits and regulatory examinations; track findings and corrective actions.
