Job summary

PACS Providence Administrative Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of accountants, oversee month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role focuses on internal controls, process improvements, and collaboration with leaders across the organization.

The position emphasizes mentoring staff, driving efficiency, and supporting audits and system implementations to enable scalable growth and sound financial management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred; active pursuit of CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous management, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred.
• Supervisory Requirements: 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, or managing accounting professionals preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and provide performance feedback to employees.
• Ability to effectively prioritize work, delegate responsibilities, and manage competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
• Oversee the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information and reporting.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances and trends, and partner with leadership to resolve issues and drive informed decision making.
• Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Partner with operational and corporate leadership to address accounting matters and support organizational objectives.
• Drive process improvements, standardization efforts, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and mentorship to accounting staff.
• Support acquisitions, system implementations, and other business initiatives as assigned.
• Lead and participate in cross functional projects, ad hoc analyses, and strategic initiatives to support the organization's continued growth and evolving business needs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
