The role directly supervises the Payroll & Accounting Coordinator and all part-time Accounting Clerks, and leads the Month-End Close with the Controller reviewing and finalizing.

The position emphasizes building scalable processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining SOPs in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years accounting experience; multi-unit hospitality experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems, POS, advanced Excel, and familiarity with AI tools.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Month-End Close process end-to-end with a close calendar and journal entries.
• Daily maintenance of Accounts Payable software.
• Monthly Accounts Receivable management.
• Ensure Sales Tax compliance across jurisdictions and locations.
• Directly supervise the Payroll & Accounting Coordinator and all part-time Accounting Clerks; approve transactions.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and related journal entries for the close package.
• Review payroll accrual balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Review recurring balance sheet schedules and entries with the Controller.
• Maintain documented SOPs for AP, AR, and clerk tasks; support training.
• Assist onboarding of new part-time Clerks; identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Assist with intercompany accounting as needed.
