Job summary

Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team and oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial operations in Austin, TX. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.
• Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve accounting issues.
• Ability to implement and oversee internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting department's daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately, promptly, and in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and variance analyses for review by senior management.
• Prepare for annual and internal audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth process.
• Ensure timely reporting to the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
