Job summary

Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide financial insight for decision-making. This role oversees daily and monthly close processes and mentors the accounting team at 11149 Research Blvd, Austin, TX.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least five years of progressive accounting experience, including two years in a management role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting department's daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual operations.
• Lead accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and timely regulatory reporting to agencies.
• Provide financial analysis and variance reporting to senior management.
