Job summary

Yearout Mechanical, a Legence Company, seeks an Accounting Manager in Albuquerque, NM to lead the accounting team and drive financial policy, reporting, and controls. The role oversees AP/AR, vendor relations, and compliance within a construction-industry environment.

You will ensure accurate job costing, manage cash flow, and supervise billing and close processes, partnering with senior management on strategic financial goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or Accounting; 5 years of related experience.
• Proficient in Sage 300 and Microsoft Office; knowledge of construction industry practices.
• Demonstrates leadership, confidentiality, and strong verbal/written communication.
• Ability to analyze, resolve issues, and ensure SOX/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP/AR personnel and drive process improvements.
• Monitor DSO/DPO and manage cash flow and working capital.
• Vendor management and compliance; lead contracts and insurance documentation.
• Review administrative entries; ensure accurate job costing.
• Manage credit card programs, statements, and reconciliations.
• Oversee Sage 300 postings and month-end close; ensure accuracy.
• Support SOX compliance and cross-functional coordination.
• Suggest and implement enhancements to accounting processes.
