Job summary

Clearbrook is seeking an experienced Manager, Accounting to lead the finance team in New York City or Albany. This 100% in-office role requires guiding close processes, ensuring accurate reporting under US GAAP, and driving process improvements with a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting or audit, strong Excel skills, and the ability to interact with senior leadership. The role offers a competitive benefits package and eligibility for annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred).
• Minimum 6+ years of recent accounting or audit experience with a full set of audited financial statements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process under US GAAP and US STAT.
• Oversee and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial results for accuracy.
• Provide variance analyses and communicate key drivers and impacts.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance.
• Drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Prepare workpapers, schedules, and summaries as needed.
• Attend in-person meetings and collaborate with partners.
