Job summary

Arizona Athletic Grounds is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting function at our Mesa campus. You will own the monthly close, financial reporting, and supervise the accounting staff, acting as a hands-on leader in a fast-growing environment.

Reporting to the VP of Accounting, you will design internal controls, oversee AR/AP, automate processes, and partner with FP&A and other departments on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, 5+ years supervising staff.
• Full-cycle month-end close and financial statement prep experience.
• Knowledge of FRF for SMEs, GAAP/IFRS, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and financial reporting cycle.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Design and monitor internal controls and policies.
• Oversee AR/AP, cash posting, revenue recognition for events and operations.
• Coordinate with external audit, tax and compliance.
• Own ERP and subledger administration; optimize systems.
