Job summary

PACS is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of accounting professionals and drive accurate financial reporting. This role supervises month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls while partnering with leadership on financial strategy.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years’ progressive experience, and CPA consideration. The position emphasizes process improvements, cross-functional initiatives, and mentorship within a growing healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred; active pursuit of CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous management, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
• Oversee the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information and reporting.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances and trends, and partner with leadership to resolve issues and drive informed decision making.
• Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Partner with operational and corporate leadership to address accounting matters and support organizational objectives.
• Drive process improvements, standardization efforts, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and mentorship to accounting staff.
• Support acquisitions, system implementations, and other business initiatives as assigned.
• Lead and participate in cross functional projects, ad hoc analyses, and strategic initiatives to support the organization’s continued growth and evolving business needs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
