Job summary

AdventHealth seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team, oversee period end close, and ensure GAAP compliance across corporate units. You will guide reconciliation efforts, develop staff, and partner with corporate finance to uphold internal controls.

Responsibilities include policy refinement, cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes. Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred; position based in Kansas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance or related field.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to lead and develop staff in an accounting function.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support period end close activities for corporate units and allocations.
• Monitor reconciliations between general ledger and subsidiary ledgers (AP, inventory, payroll, revenue).
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies; propose policy changes for standardization and efficiency.
• Coordinate training on accounting activities and support audit activities.
• Establish and maintain internal controls; monitor SLA performance and remediate noncompliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and system modifications.
• Participate in recruiting and staff development; allocate resources as needed.
