Job summary

North Wind is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and deliver timely financial reporting. You will oversee the close process, GL, reconciliations, fixed assets, and intercompany controls while guiding the accounting team.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of accounting leadership, solid GAAP knowledge, and experience with Deltek Costpoint or ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and CPA or CPA-qualified preferred.
7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Experience with general ledger accounting and monthly close.
Experience leading accounting staff preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and cash management.
Provide financial analysis and management reporting for Finance leadership.
Oversee accounts payable, cash receipts, and banking activities with proper controls.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and government contracting standards.
Lead accounting staff and support cross-functional collaboration.
