Vaco Arizona is partnering with a Tolleson client to hire an experienced Accounting Manager. The role emphasizes hands-on accounting, overseeing AP, payroll review, and month-end close, and ensures accuracy of financial records.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, prior leadership or supervisory experience, and a track record of process improvement. You will mentor staff and support audits and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounting experience with strong Accounts Payable and month-end close expertise.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment approvals.
• Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Review payroll for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to processing.
• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Assist with cash management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
