Job summary

CFS, located in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a hands-on accounting leader to manage daily AP/AR operations and lead a growing team. You will partner with the Controller and cross-functional partners to deliver accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

This role emphasizes process improvements, automation projects, and people development, with opportunities for bonus and profit sharing in a financially strong, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AP and AR teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• People-management experience with multiple direct reports.
• Solid General Ledger and accounting fundamentals.
• Project management experience, ideally involving automation, systems implementations, or process improvements.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
• Hands-on, collaborative management style.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure exceptional service and communication.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and workflow enhancements.
• Support compliance, vendor payments, customer receivables, and operational accounting activities.
• Contribute accounting expertise and General Ledger knowledge to organizational initiatives.
