Job summary

Hyosung America, Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger, close processes, and financial reporting.

You will manage AR/AP teams, coordinate with auditors, and drive process improvements while ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
• Korean bilingual (Business literature level proficient).
• 8+ years accounting experience with at least 3 years in supervision/management.
• Experience using Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards or related enterprise systems.
• Lease Accounting (IFRS 16).
• Strong internal controls knowledge and ability to document topics.
• Analytical and data reliability, detail oriented.
• GAAP/IFRS understanding and confidentiality management.
• Closing, consolidations, reporting, planning and project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure general accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Actively manages AR & AP team with day-to-day collaboration with Revenue/Billing and Treasury.
• Tracks financial status by monitoring variances from Financial Revenue Plan.
• Perform and review monthly account reconciliations with detailed support schedules.
• Lead month-end close process and preparation of internal financial statements.
• Manage Fixed Asset with annual budget.
• Lead preparation and coordination for external auditors and tax requests.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Continued focus on improving accounting processes.
• Perform ad hoc projects as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure general accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Actively manages AR & AP team with day-to-day collaboration with the Revenue/Billing teams and Treasury.

Tracks financial status by monitoring variances from Financial Revenue Plan.

Perform and review monthly account reconciliation for related balance sheet accounts with detailed support schedules. Take appropriate action to clear the reconciling items.

Lead month-end close process and preparation of internal financial statements. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.

Manage Fixed Asset with annual budget

Lead preparation and coordination for external auditors and tax request.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Continued focus on improving accounting processes.

Perform ad hoc projects as necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
• Korean Bilingual (Business literature level Proficient)
• Minimum 8+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years of supervisory or management experience
• Must have experience using Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards or related enterprise system in a professional capacity
• Lease Accounting (IFRS 16)
• Knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics required
• Analytical skills, displaying an ability to gather, relate and compare data, and ensure data is reliable, accurate and complete
• Detail orientation to ensure related tasks are completed timely and accurately
• Thorough understanding of accounting procedures & GAAP/IFRS
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Financial closing, consolidations, reporting, planning and project management experience preferred.
• Position may require extended hours and work on weekends or holidays.
