Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead client accounting engagements for diverse clients in a hybrid work environment. You will oversee engagement teams, ensure compliance with US GAAP, review work, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of accounting experience, with recent time as an account manager or equivalent in industry finance or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of double entry accounting and US GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Fluent business English (read, write, speak).
• Willingness to travel to client or other firm locations as needed.
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of at least one accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engagement teams on multiple engagements to ensure work adheres to engagement scope.
• Communicate with clients; supervise and train senior staff, staff and interns.
• Perform business development activities and assist with client proposals.
• Invoicing clients monthly and managing accounts receivable; monitor budgets.
