H. T. PROF Group in Torrance, CA seeks an Accounting Manager for a hybrid schedule, overseeing client accounting, full-charge bookkeeping, payroll and KPI reporting across diverse clients.

The role requires 7–10 years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, proficiency in Excel, excellent English communication, and the ability to supervise staff and support business development. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of accounting experience with recent time as an account manager or equivalent.
• Thorough understanding of double-entry accounting and US GAAP.
• Working knowledge of taxation (individual, corporate, sales, property & business taxes).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Excellent English communication (read, write, speak).
• Willingness to travel to client or firm locations as needed.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with QuickBooks Online.
• CPA license preferred; able to supervise staff and contribute to BD.

Responsabilités

• Oversee engagement teams to ensure work aligns with scope.
• Maintain bank, vendor and payroll records for the client.
• Prepare month-end packages under US GAAP or IFRS.
• Assist clients with budgets, forecasts or projections.
• Build and analyze dashboards or KPI metrics for the client.
• Ensure timely client communication and adherence to timelines.
• Interact with clients regularly and delegate to senior or staff as needed.
• Manage engagement budgets; monitor overruns and aging AR.
• Provide team training and participate in business development activities.
