Job summary

Smith + Howard seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to support the firm’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and integration efforts across multiple entities. This role collaborates with the Controller and broader Finance team to strengthen processes, improve scalability, and support growth domestically and offshore.

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on month-end close experience, and the ability to lead and develop staff across geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a professional services environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage key accounting operations, including general ledger activities and month-end close.
• Review work for accuracy, documentation, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and firm policies.
• Support timely financial reporting across multiple entities and offices.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement analyses and investigate fluctuations.
• Lead and develop accounting staff across geographies.
