Job summary

Smith + Howard is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and integration efforts. The role supports a fast‑growing CPA firm with multi‑entity environments across domestic and offshore teams.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, oversight of month‑end close, and a track record of developing others while partnering with the Controller and Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a professional services environment or CPA/advisory firm preferred.
• Experience working in a large, multi-entity organization with multiple offices.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ERP/NetSuite familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledgers, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Lead and develop accounting staff across geographies.
• Support acquisitions, purchase accounting, and post‑close integration.
• Improve processes, controls, and system integration across the firm.
