Shield AI is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. The role reports to the Accounting Director and will manage the global close, intercompany activities, and process improvements to enable audit readiness and future public-company standards.

You will partner with the broader finance team to ensure timely close, strengthen internal controls, optimize systems, and document governance practices in a fast-growth defense-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls; SOX familiarity a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage key accounting operations including monthly global close and consolidation.
• Oversee intercompany activities, cash processing, and reconciliations.
• Support internal controls development for SOX readiness.
• Improve accounting systems and processes; document governance practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
