The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and accounting of multiple operating locations. This position also has oversight responsibilities to enforce the application of all internal controls to secure all assets including cash, accounts receivable, and physical inventory.

This role will pay an annual salary of $50,000-$60,000.

Benefits for Full-Time roles include: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).

This position will remain open until July 31, 2025.

Santander Arena, located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania, is a versatile venue that serves as the home arena for the Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. The Santander Arena hosts a variety of live events including concerts, Disney on Ice, and other family-friendly events attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Assist the Director of Finance with overseeing staff with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Finance Department.
  2. Perform duties of any vacant position when necessary.
  3. Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring correct coding and payment in accordance with policies.
  4. Review and process credit card expense reports and receipts monthly.
  5. Handle Accounts Receivable duties including invoice preparation and cash receipts processing.
  6. Safeguard assets through monitoring and audits.
  7. Import box office daily sales and reconcile accounts prior to month-end.
  8. Generate reports of event operating results for management and finance department.
  9. Support departments with financial forecasting and perform account reconciliations.
  10. Reconcile bank deposits, sales, inventory, payroll, A/P, and A/R activities.
  11. Assist in generating financial statements and month-end close activities.
  12. Support basic HR duties such as maintaining employee records and onboarding.
  13. Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or financial management at a supervisory level.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in computers, especially Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software like NetSuite preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
