Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting for Building Operations (Facilities & Fleet). You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, inventory, payroll records, and monthly reconciliations, while supervising a team of five.

The role includes budgeting, reporting, and coordination with the Division Director. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience with supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and over five year’s satisfactory full-time paid employment in accounting or bookkeeping and five years supervisory experience; or equivalent substitution as described.
• Skill in typing 40-45 WPM, 10-key by touch, and MS Office suite including Excel, Word, Access.
• Ability to organize, prepare financial statements, and supervise a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory purchasing and receipts, and billing.
• Supervise daily accounting functions and maintain financial records.
• Prepare long/short range financial planning and budget projections.
• Assist Division Director in project management and act as requisitioning Officer.
• Maintain parking fund accounts and payroll records; prepare monthly reports.
• Prepare memos, letters, and reports; conduct new hire administration.
