Job summary

Zanda is seeking an Accounting Manager to build out the finance function as the first accounting hire. You will own the month-end close, manage AP/AR, payroll, and vendor relations, and partner with operations to ensure accurate COGS for a hardware/AI company.

The role reports to senior leadership and offers equity/bonus alongside a competitive base salary in the Bay Area, with a strong path toward a Controller role as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of accounting experience, including close and reporting.
• CPA, or working toward CPA certification.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Stripe or Chargebee.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close: journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage AP/AR, billing, cash receipts, and vendor payments.
• Oversee payroll and monthly payroll reconciliations.
• Assist with system selection and audit readiness.
