Job summary

FinanceWithin is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead month-end close for multiple client engagements. You will assemble monthly financial packets and present statements to clients, applying deep knowledge of QBO, Xero, and Excel.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in full-cycle accounting, strong analytical and communication skills, and a client-focused consulting mindset. This role requires proactive collaboration with teams and a solid grounding in accounting principles.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in full cycle accounting.
• 2+ years in a multi-client or consulting role.
• Advanced in QBO and Xero.
• Experience with e-commerce is a big plus (Shopify, PayPal, Bill.com, etc).
• Firm grasp of accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive and team-centric attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end closing and all key accounting-related activities for clients - accurate and timely circulation of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets
• Cash Flow projection (and updates) and communicating cash position to clients
• Financial Package Creation: Ensuring proper margin recognition, Reconciling/Recording transactions (Sales, Deferrals, Accruals, Returns, Discounts, Write-offs), Monitoring Sales Orders (wholesale), etc.
• Inventory Management including: Good understanding of Inventory, Reconciling inventory (Physical, Sub to GL), Accruals, Samples, Inventory adjustments, Obsolescence, Monitor POs, etc.
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements
• Reconciliation of other payment accounts (e.g. PayPal, Stripe, etc)
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and thorough understanding of amortization schedules
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Payables
• Manage AR aging reports for clients
• Manage AP in Bill.com (or related software) for clients
• Payroll management for clients
• Work with FinanceWithin management to support the team
• Support as a consultant to clients on accounting related work
• General ledger accountability, financial analysis, financial reporting, and special reports, financial profitability analysis, other special projects as assigned
