Accounting Manager - DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego Mission Valley (Finance)

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego Mission Valley is seeking an Accounting Manager!
Our property features 300 guest rooms and over 31,000 square feet of event space with 11 meeting rooms.

The ideal candidate should have at least three years of accounting experience, including a minimum of one year in hotel accounting. Previous Hilton experience is preferred.

Salary Range: $68,640 - $70,000

What will I be doing?

As an Accounting Manager, you will manage the audit function to ensure outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Your responsibilities include:

  • Reconciling General Ledger accounts, reviewing discrepancies, and guiding staff on follow-up.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of reports such as month-end closing, forecasts, and variances.
  • Controlling inventories of operational, departmental, and team member meal budgets.
  • Downloading data correctly into timekeeping systems.
  • Managing weekly submission of time and attendance data, including gratuities.
  • Producing daily deposit transmittals for checks received.
  • Conducting monthly payroll audits and issuing paychecks.
  • Monitoring and developing team member performance, including supervision, training, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and training team members.
