Engineering Manager - DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley (Maintenance)

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley puts you in the center of San Diego. Our 300-room hotel is conveniently located next to the trolley stop, offering easy transportation to top attractions like Old Town, Little Italy, Petco Park, San Diego Convention Center, Gaslamp Quarter, and San Diego State University.

We are seeking our next Engineering Manager! This role is ideal for someone ready to advance into management. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will supervise a team of five, managing the installation and repair of electrical, mechanical, and maintenance issues throughout the facility to ensure safety and efficiency.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has at least 5 years of hotel building maintenance experience.
• Possesses union and Hilton experience.
• Is proactive and leads by example.
• Has a desire to learn and grow.

The annual salary range for this role is $68,640 - $70,000, based on experience and location.

Responsibilities:

As Engineering Manager, you will assist the Director in overseeing the facility's functionality and safety, ensuring the well-being of guests and staff, and supporting outstanding guest service and profitability. Key tasks include:

• Overseeing the safety and functionality of the facility, including buildings, mechanical and electrical systems, heating and cooling, life safety, and grounds, in compliance with regulations.
• Conducting inspections and managing the installation, maintenance, and repair of systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Documenting routine maintenance and repairs in the property management system.
• Supporting capital projects and property rehabilitations.
• Monitoring and developing team performance through supervision, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and professional development.
• Leading special projects as needed.
