Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Boston to support and own end-to-end accounting and reporting processes for AWS Supply Chain Accounting. You will work with finance partners to close monthly books and implement robust internal controls.

The role requires 5+ years in finance/accounting, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, and CPA is preferred. Strong analytical skills and experience with data mining tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• 4+ years of transactional accounting field experience.

Responsibilities

• Support various aspects of accounting and reporting processes.
• Own end-to-end processes to support finance and business partners.
• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
• Make judgments to keep projects moving and close books monthly.
• Assess internal control design and propose new processes and controls.
• Escalate risks and issues to leadership.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Strengthen partnerships between accounting and finance, tax, and IT teams.
• Prepare technical accounting position papers.
