Job summary

OB Hospitalist Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead Accounts Payable and General Ledger functions in a hybrid Greenville, SC office setup. You will support month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

Leadership of accounting staff and cross-functional collaboration are key aspects of the role. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 7+ years of accounting experience, and 3+ years of leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting from an accredited college.
• 7+ years of progressive financial accounting experience incl close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, and GAAP.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting professionals.
• Strong knowledge of AP, GL, internal controls and financial systems.
• Experience with accounting software and process automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Accounts Payable and General Ledger operations including vendor setup, invoice processing, payment execution and journal entries.
• Ensure timely month-, quarter-, and year-end closings per GAAP and internal controls.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff through coaching and workload management.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and support management reporting.
• Coordinate audit support and resolve findings or recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting accuracy, and system effectiveness.
