Role Description

The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Concord, NH. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring accurate and timely journal entries. The Accounting Manager will maintain fixed asset records, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitor compliance with relevant regulations and funding requirements. In addition, this role will analyze financial data to provide insights for leadership, coordinate with external auditors, and help strengthen internal controls and financial procedures. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with program and operations staff to ensure financial information supports housing and redevelopment initiatives effectively.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger accounting activities.
• Knowledge of finance principles and experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Experience tracking and managing fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
• Experience in governmental, nonprofit, or HUD‑funded housing programs is beneficial.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
