Job summary

• Manage vendor statement reviews and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records.
• Oversee chargebacks, expense reports, and check processing.
• Help ensure accounting processes follow GAAP and internal controls.
• Identify recurring accounting issues and drive root-cause solutions.
• Improve and document accounting procedures and processes.
• Manage month-end and year-end deadlines.
• Cross-train team members and develop stronger coverage across accounting functions.
• Communicate significant accounting issues to the Director of Finance.

We’re based in Winchester, KY, and continue to grow our team and operations.

About the Role

We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to join our team in Winchester, KY. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Director of Finance.

The Accounting Manager will lead key day-to-day accounting functions while helping develop the accounting team, improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and create clear ownership and accountability throughout the department.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and hold accounting team members accountable
• Oversee general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Oversee Accounts Payable and ensure timely, accurate vendor payments
• Manage vendor statement reviews and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records

• Help ensure accounting processes follow GAAP and established internal controls

• Manage priorities and ensure month-end and year-end deadlines are met
• Cross-train team members and develop stronger coverage across accounting functions
• Work effectively with other departments and external vendors
• Communicate significant accounting issues to the Director of Finance in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar experience preferred
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and internal controls
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable
• Ability to work effectively across departments and with external vendors

Salary range: $60,000-$75,000 based on qualifications
