Job summary

Venteon is seeking an Accounting Manager in Utica, MI to oversee financial reporting and analysis for a manufacturing-focused operation. The role requires a solid grasp of GAAP and budgeting practices, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop cash flow projections, ensure accurate data, and guide accounting system improvements while coordinating with leadership and staff to optimize financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years increasing financial responsibility with at least 3 years in manufacturing.
• Experience with GAAP, financial analysis, cost accounting, forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Work with company leadership and affiliated personnel to develop and provide accurate analysis of financial data and financial reports.
• Provide financial data and input based on established practices.
• Provide cash flow projections and reports to ensure operating needs of the entities are available.
• Provide expertise in billing, general ledger software, and accounting systems, databases and master files.
• Analyze financial information to evaluate performance and identify cost reductions or program improvements.
• Direct or coordinate activities of departments concerned with production, pricing, sales, or inventory.
• Review information submitted by staff to ensure accurate reporting and suggest changes.
• Communicate with external sources including customers, government, and other parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Accounting Manager
