Job summary

Venteon seeks an Accounting Manager in Northern Metro Detroit to lead financial analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting across manufacturing operations. You will work with leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting and strategic insights.

Responsibilities include cash flow projections, systems expertise, and ensuring GAAP compliance. Strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external partners is required.

Qualifications

• Requires strong GAAP knowledge and ability to analyze financial data.
• Experience in cost accounting, forecasting and budgeting is essential.
• Manufacturing sector experience is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide accurate analyses of financial data and reports for company leadership.
• Provide cash flow projections and reports to support operating needs.
• Apply expertise in billing, general ledger software, and accounting systems.
• Analyze financial information to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
• Direct or coordinate activities related to production, pricing, sales, or inventory.
• Review data submitted by staff to ensure accurate reporting and suggest changes.
• Communicate with external sources including customers, the public, and government entities.

• Minimum of 5 years of increasing financial responsibility with a minimum of three years in manufacturing
• Experience with GAAP, financial analysis, cost accounting, forecasting and budgeting

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Accounting Manager

• Work with the company leadership and affiliated personnel to develop and provide accurate analysis of financial data and financial reports.
• Provide financial data and input based on established practices.
• Provide cash flow projections and reports to ensure operating needs of the entities are available.
• Provide expertise in billing, general ledger software, and overall general knowledge of accounting systems, databases and master files.
• Analyze financial information to assist in the evaluation of performance of the company in meeting objectives; recommend areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
• Direct or coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with production, pricing, sales, or inventory.
• Review information submitted by staff members or other entities to ensure accurate reporting and/or recommend changes.
• Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
