Job summary

CFS is seeking an Accounting Manager in Ohio to partner with operations and leadership, oversee AP operations, and mentor the accounting staff while staying engaged in core financial activities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing accounting and accounts payable.
• Solid knowledge of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management.
• Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff and managing month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations and keep the team focused on key priorities
• Evaluate workloads and adjust assignments to address backlogs and changing business needs
• Ensure invoices, payments, and other AP activities are processed accurately and within established timelines
• Troubleshoot issues and serve as a resource for more complex AP questions
• Work alongside the team and assist with transaction processing during high-volume periods
• Support the training and integration of new AP team members
• Drive consistency, follow-through, and accountability within the department
