This role is at a premier global asset manager with over $100 billion in assets under management, specializing in alternative investment strategies across credit, private equity, real estate, and structured products. Their credit platform is one of the firm’s largest and fastest-growing verticals, encompassing direct lending, high yield, structured credit, and distressed strategies. They are looking to bring on a Fund Accounting Associate to join their team!

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accounting Associate to join our Credit Fund Accounting team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the accounting and operational functions of our private credit funds. This role offers significant exposure to investment professionals, operations, external administrators, and auditors, providing a strong foundation for career growth within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the monthly and quarterly close process for credit funds, including NAV calculation and investor allocations.
• Reconcile fund-level activity including capital calls, distributions, income, expenses, and valuation adjustments.
• Liaise with third-party fund administrators and custodians to ensure accuracy and timeliness of fund reporting.
• Review and analyze financial statements, capital account statements, and investor reporting packages.
• Partner with the investment team to understand deal structures and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Support year-end audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with external auditors.
• Contribute to system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives to increase efficiency.
• Stay abreast of accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, ASC 946) and industry best practices relevant to credit funds.

Qualifications:

2-5 Years of Audit (with fund clients) or Fund Accounting Experience
