Job summary

Addison Group partners with a publicly traded international consumer services organization in the Dallas, TX area to identify an Accounting Manager. This role oversees general accounting duties and balance sheet reconciliations, while ensuring timely close and accurate financial reporting.

You will monitor and develop direct reports, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support brands and entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Public company experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and demonstrate thorough understanding of general accounting systems, procedures and GAAP.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for assigned brands/entities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure full support.
• Manage monthly closing activities for assigned brands/entities with internal control adherence.
• Review and approve monthly brand P&Ls with commentary on fluctuations vs. budget.
• Collaborate with General Accounting and finance teams and cross-functional partners.

Primary responsibilities include general accounting duties, review and reconciliation of balance sheets, and financial statements. This will also Monitoring and analyzing the work of direct reports to develop and implement more efficient procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and demonstrating a thorough understanding of general accounting systems, procedures, and GAAP
• Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for assigned brands/entities.
• Ensuring related balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled and are fully supported.
• Managing the monthly closing activities for assigned brands, entities, and line items, in compliance with the closing checklist and internal control procedures.
• Reviewing and approving monthly brand operating P&Ls, ensuring adequate commentary to address fluctuations in trend and variance to budget.
• Collaborating within the General Accounting and finance departments as well as with cross functional team members.
