Not disclosed client in a growing manufacturing sector seeks an Accounting Manager to lead a team, support the Controller, and drive a period of transformation and growth. You will oversee month-end close, inventory accounting, and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of experience, and prior leadership. Manufacturing experience and ERP familiarity with Amtech/EnCore are a plus. High-visibility role with process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Manufacturing experience (inventory, raw materials) is a big plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (Amtech/EnCore preferred).
• Organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting staff, including direct oversight of Accounts Payable.
• Support month-end and year-end close (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations).
• Oversee inventory accounting, including reconciliations and month-end adjustments.
• Review financials (P&L, balance sheet, GL) and perform variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP.
• Help improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Support ERP transition efforts (Amtech/EnCore) and system improvements.
• Assist with projects like transitioning from check payments to ACH.
