Job summary

IMKO is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager for a local meat manufacturing plant to oversee policies and procedures to meet professional standards and state and federal regulatory requirements.

The role involves posting adjustments to the General Ledger, preparing financial statements and depreciation reports, reconciling bank statements, and supporting payroll, A/P, A/R, and budgeting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ accounting or finance experience preferred.
• 3+ years’ QuickBooks experience required.

Responsibilities

• Post adjustments to General Ledger.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Prepare monthly depreciation reports and ending reports for sales, A/P, A/R, inventory and production.
• Reconcile bank statements monthly.
• Assist with budgeting and 1099 forms at year-end.
• Support payroll processes and AP/AR as needed.

Job description

IMKO is currently recruiting a full-time Accounting Manager for a local meat manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures comply with professional standards and state and federal regulatory requirements

Accounting Manager Responsibilities are, however, will not be limited to:

• Works with confidential data.
• Post adjustments to General Ledger.
• Create financial statements that include balance sheets, profit loss report and cash flow report.
• Prepares financial tax asset detail reports and other detailed analyses.
• Prepares monthly deprecation reports, month ending reports for sales, account payable, account receivable, inventory and production.
• Analyze weekly sales reports, inventory, purchases and payroll.
• Reconciles all banks account statements every month.
• Manage and fix assets / depreciation.
• Consults with the Division President regarding profit and loss investment accounts.
• Prepare yearly budget.
• Review records for third party accounting firm.
• Prepares 1099 forms at the year-end for contract labor.
• Support Shipping and Receiving Specialist and payroll process as needed.
• Assist the Division President with multiple special projects.
• Process business expense reimbursements.
• Compiles information for the company liability insurance and presents/ recommends to Division President.
• Process ACH and AP checks for Payments

Accounting Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four - year college or university in Accounting /Finance or equivalent experience
• 3 + years’ experience in accounting or finance is preferred
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of QuickBooks is required.

Pay for the Accounting Manager: $50k -$55k per year
