We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee all day-to-day accounting functions for our client’s organization. This is a hands‑on, one-person accounting department responsible for establishing and maintaining the company’s financial infrastructure, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing timely financial reporting and analysis to senior management. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Job Duties:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for a variety of accounting and financial functions, including, but not limited to:
- Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion.
- Post journal entries and adjustments to the General Ledger.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports as needed.
- Prepare monthly depreciation reports and month‑end reports for sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and production.
- Prepare weekly sales reports for management.
- Analyze inventory and assist with inventory‑related accounting activities.
- Reconcile all bank account statements on a monthly basis.
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Assist senior management with the preparation and development of the annual budget.
- Prepare and file 1099 forms at year‑end.
- Support the payroll process as needed.
- Process employee business expense reimbursements.
- Compile financial and company information required for liability insurance and assist senior management with related activities.
- Process ACH payments and prepare checks for company expenses.
- Provide financial information, reporting, and analysis to support senior management’s decision‑making.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent accounting experience will be considered.
- Prior accounting experience with the ability to manage a broad range of accounting functions.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and appropriately.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
