Frost in Texas is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team, coach staff, and oversee the monthly close with accuracy and integrity. You’ll drive excellence across financial processes and collaborate with partners to deliver reliable results.

You will manage GAAP application, GL, fixed assets, and accounts payable, ensure system integrity, and guide cross‑functional projects with teams across the bank while upholding Frost's values of care and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA designation.
• 5+ years experience in Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Who you are:

As an Accounting Manager with Frost, you are instrumental in our success. You will lead the accounting team by coaching, developing, and supervising to grow them to their greatest abilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger month-end review and closing process. You take the time when time needs to be taken to ensure excellence and accuracy in all that you do. What you'll do:

• Understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and its impact in recording transactions


• Coordinate general ledger month end review/closing processes and ensure that entries are in accordance with GAAP


• Oversee and manage accounting operations related to general ledger, fixed assets, and accounts payable.


• Ensure all system processes and integrations are operating properly and collaborate with interdepartmental project teams on system projects, implementations, and conversions


• Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations


• Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation


• 5+ years experience in Accounting


• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Preferred Skills :

• Prior managerial or leadership role


• Experience with core banking application configurations and integrations


• Knowledgeable in emerging technologies, including AI
