Job summary

Frost Bank, through its Frost Wealth Management division, seeks a Senior Wealth Portfolio Manager to independently manage assets within proprietary strategies. You will build enduring client relationships with integrity, care, and excellence, guiding portfolios and contributing to the firm’s long-standing wealth-management legacy.

You will supervise strategy deployment, mentor staff, and participate in committees while supporting business development and asset selection processes for multi-asset

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
  • 10+ years experience in a portfolio management role overseeing investment accounts in a fiduciary manner
  • Thorough understanding of financial market/security types concepts and the ability to communicate concepts to clients
  • Experience managing and/or advising on multi-asset class portfolios
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
  • Broad understanding of alternative asset classes

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise deployment of strategies for clients within an assigned group of accounts, ensuring deployed strategy fits specific client objectives
  • Provide guidance and oversight regarding department operations through participation in assigned committees
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of Wealth Management operations to ensure responsibilities to clients
  • Supervise and mentor lower level staff to ensure that their development progresses satisfactorily
  • Assist with business development efforts for Frost
  • Contribute to the asset review committee, analyzing assets for inclusion on the investment approved list
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

Who you are:

As a Senior Wealth Portfolio Manager with Frost Wealth Management, you will be responsible for independently managing assets within the proprietary strategies developed by Frost Wealth Management. What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
  • 10+ years experience in a portfolio management role overseeing investment accounts in a fiduciary manner at a wealth management or other financial services organization
  • Thorough understanding of financial market/security types concepts and the ability to communicate concepts to clients
  • Experience managing and/or advising on multi-asset class portfolios.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
  • Broad understanding of alternative asset classes
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or other financial industry designation
  • Experience with industry tools such as Fitek , Bloomberg, and FactSet
  • Experience making public presentations
