Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Staffing and Recruiting is seeking a Hands-On Accounting Manager for a project-based assignment just outside Richmond, VA. On-site 3 days per week from 8:30 to 5 for approximately 2-4 months.

Responsibilities include hands-on reconciliations and journal entries into the ERP system, variance analysis, year-end tasks, audit readiness, and responding to external auditors. Candidate should have 6+ years of accounting experience and a self-directed approach.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience.
• Self-directed personality with ability to take ownership.
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred (NetSuite acceptable).
• Comfort working under Controller and Asst. Controller.

Candidate should be available to be on site 3 days per week from 8:30-5 for approximately 2-4 months.

Candidate will be responsible for:

• Hands-on reconciliations and journal entries into the ERP system
• Variance analysis
• Tasks for year-end
• Audit readiness
• Responding to requests from external auditors
• Other duties as assigned

Candidates should have the following background:

• 6+ years of accounting experience
• Self-directed personality
• Ability to take the ball and get work accomplished
• NetSuite experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to be comfortable with hands on experience directed from Controller and Asst. Controller
• Good technical skills in software and Microsoft Suite
