Job summary

DeZURIK, Inc. in Redmond seeks an Accounting Manager to lead plant-level accounting, cost accounting, and monthly close in partnership with the Corporate Controller.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while partnering with operations to improve performance and discipline. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and at least five years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, with ERP experience and strong communication

Responsibilities

  • Partner with local Redmond management on financial performance and accounting outcomes.
  • Summarize and analyze financial statements for management discussions.
  • Lead monthly close, reporting package, and Redmond Traction process.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital entries; post transactions in the system.
  • Lead cost accounting and ensure product costing integrity.
  • Monitor scrap, labor, and overtime to drive discipline.
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliations.
  • Oversee cycle counts; perform root cause analysis on adjustments.
  • Maintain internal controls and comply with policies and standards.
  • Support audits with documentation and issue resolution.
  • Manage periodic financial documents for creditors, grants, and government entities.
  • Lead annual budget and forecasts; collaborate with finance leadership.
  • Partner with operations/engineering on CAPEX analysis and post-implementation tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Redmond accounting function.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Hilton Accounting Manager is the lead financial partner supporting the local management team at DeZURIK's Redmond location, working directly with the Corporate Controller to ensure the accuracy of financial records. This role is responsible for plant-level accounting activities, including cost accounting, monthly close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and budgeting and forecasting, in partnership with local leadership to drive strong financial performance and operational discipline.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Partner with local Redmond management on all operational and strategic processes that impact financial performance and accounting results.
  • Summarize and analyze the current status of financial statements for presentation to and discussion with management.
  • Execute all Redmond finance activities, including monthly close, preparation of the reporting package, and participation in the Redmond team's Traction process.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing information; verify, allocate, and post transactions within the company business system.
  • Lead cost accounting activities for the Redmond location, ensuring integrity and accuracy of product costing.
  • Monitor and support scrap, labor, and overtime performance to drive operational financial discipline.
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation, including reserves and reconciliation to perpetual inventory records.
  • Support and oversee cycle count processes; analyze inventory adjustments and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Support audit engagements, including preparation of documentation and issue resolution.
  • Monitor, document, and submit all periodic financial documents required by creditors, grants, government agencies, or other related entities.
  • Lead the annual Redmond budget and periodic forecast process, preparing financial statements in accordance with schedule and in collaboration with local and finance leadership.
  • Partner with operations and engineering on capital expenditure (CAPEX) analysis, financial justification, and post-implementation benefit tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Redmond accounting function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting or finance experience; previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and influence non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Capability with Microsoft Office tools and advanced Excel skills; experience with manufacturing systems or NetSuite ERP preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Position requires movement around the facilities.
  • Must be able to support after-hours business needs as they arise.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds independently.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Stress may result from workload and meeting schedules. Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

DeZURIK offers a competitive salary of $108,043 to $135,053 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
