Job summary

Mulberry Talent Partners is partnering with a well-established, employee-owned Portland-area company seeking an Accounting Manager. You’ll oversee AP/AR/GL, month-end close, and internal controls, delivering timely financial insights to leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and strong leadership. This role offers ESOP, a collaborative culture, and meaningful growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong financial reporting and general accounting knowledge.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Leading day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Managing the month-end and year-end close process.
• Preparing financial statements and management reporting.
• Monitoring cash flow and supporting budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintaining strong internal controls and audit-ready financial records.
• Partnering with operational leaders to improve financial visibility.
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

A day in the life:

you’ll oversee the company’s accounting operations while providing timely, accurate financial information that helps leadership make informed business decisions. Responsibilities include:

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary: Salary range starts at $79K annually DOE, with a structured progression plan designed to reward performance with substantial salary growth in a two-year span.
