Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the monthly accounting close process.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor the status of month-end activities and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
  • Review account activity for accuracy and communicate significant issues to the Controller.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records and documentation.
  • Assist with developing and improving accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support implementation of new accounting software and reporting tools (including DOMO).
  • Help maximize effectiveness of existing systems and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with operational departments to resolve issues and improve financial information flow.
  • Assist with audit requests and preparation of schedules and documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, training, and supervision to accounting staff.
  • Assign and review work to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and accuracy in the function.
  • Perform other accounting and financial responsibilities as assigned by the Controller.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Accounting Manager will provide day-to-day supervision and support to members of the accounting team. Responsibilities may include training employees, assigning and reviewing work, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and assisting with the resolution of questions or issues. The position will help foster a professional, collaborative, and accountable accounting environment.

  • Assign and review work to ensure accounting responsibilities are completed accurately and timely.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and accuracy within the accounting function.
  • Perform other accounting and financial responsibilities as assigned by the Controller.
