Job summary

Hyatt Caption Nashville is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, including payables, receivables, and general ledger functions. You will supervise staff, prepare monthly financial statements, and support month-end/year-end closes, with a focus on accuracy and internal controls.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting (2+ in supervision), hospitality experience preferred, and strong GAAP knowledge with proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Hotel or hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Experience with accounting systems such as Aptech PVNG, OnQ PMS, or similar.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate accounting team members.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Supervise and review the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities.
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting.
• Coordinate audit activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Collaborate with property and corporate leadership to support financial goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
