Job summary

JFC Staffing Companies in Mechanicsburg is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a hands-on accounting team. This onsite role offers a supportive environment, flexible scheduling, and growth opportunities within a stable organization.

You will work closely with the Controller and operations leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and process improvements across the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close knowledge.
• Leadership experience or readiness to supervise.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities for assigned areas.
• Manage general ledger activity, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations.
• Support timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Work closely with the Controller, operational leadership, and other accounting staff.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
• Supervise and support accounting staff responsible for day-to-day transactional functions.
• Ensure accounting processes follow established company policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Previous leadership experience or the ability to step into a supervisory role
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced, transactional accounting environment is a plus

Main Responsibilities:
